Nov. 25th - Winter Blooms

I live in an area that used to be rice paddies; the plants that have filled in the former blocks of land are in bloom, spreading across at least ten football fields.  They have a light vanilla scent & have been in bloom for over two weeks now.  Very beautiful!

Nov. 25th - Happy Thanksgiving

Blogspot seems to have resolved its server concerns!  What a nice surprise to be thankful for on Thanksgiving 2011.  IF the link is still holding when I wake up, I'll begin posting again, which will feel wonderful...I think I get cranky when I do too many tasks & not enough writing just for fun.  I am thankful, too, for those who are following my adventure here & via email.  It means much that you take time from your hectic daily needs & tasks to check in.

Well, after several attempts with both Indian & US trouble shooting experts, it appears that this blog will not be accessible in India. I am creating a second blog & will send links to it soon...I am doing well, though, and just learned that the posts I am sending are visible to those outside India. Hopefully you can see this!

Nov. 2 - Company!

I'm learning, belatedly, that blogspot, the host for this blog, is often blocked on Asian servers.  My apologies for the long lapse in posts.  A colleague from Anoka-Hennepin is also visiting, extending my time away from the flat & computer.  It appears I have access today - watch for a few more posts & then, if authoring permission holds, I will continue here; if it is blocked again I have created an alternate access point for the blog & will share by week's end.  85º in the evening, with hazy 91-92º daytime temps...winter in Kolkata has arrived
